I'm still getting used to my new job. It's hard to be new, isn't it? By default, I am always the dumbest in the room which drives me insane. Getting used to this job is harder than any other job I've had to learn because the content of what we do is so different from anything I've done before. These meetings are all about construction projects and engineering services and reliability and logistics and maintenance. I am 1000% in over my head, but it's also funny that no matter what the content of your job is, there are basic universal truths. Someone is never pulling their weight, departments never think they have enough resources, and the left hand never knows what the right hand is doing. I find so much peace and confidence in that much of it.
