Wanna hear a confession? I haven’t read a book since December. Not one.
I’ve tried a few times, but I get a few chapters in and I lose interest. If you read a lot, you know that sometimes that happens. Sometimes you just burn out on reading. I must have burned myself out last year.
But I’m okay with that because I have traded books for so many good shows! I’ve never been a big TV person. The only thing on our TVs at our house are usually sports. Every now and then, Chris and I will watch a series together for a few weeks, but that’s really about it.
UNTIL NOW. And I am making up for lost time, y’all! Here’s what I’m watching:
Homeland - I didn’t watch this when it first came out, so I started all the way back at Episode 1 and I am ADDICTED. I just finished season one last night and started season two today. It is so good and I’m so excited to have all these seasons left to watch!
Paradise - Are you guys watching Paradise on Hulu??? I am really loving that one, too! It’s kind of a dystopian type show about the world after a nuclear explosion or something like that. I really like the actors in it.
ScAmanda - This is a documentary series I accidentally found on Netflicks about a blogger who faked having cancer! I hadn’t heard about it before, so everything is surprising to me and it’s crazy! It’s made like a crappy Hallmark movie, but it’s still pretty fun to watch.
Tulsa King - Have I ever professed my love for Taylor Sheridan series on here before??? All my favorite shows are his - Friday Night Lights, Yellowstone, Land Man. I mean, has he ever made a bad series? Tulsa King does not disappoint either. I didn’t know I was a Sylvester Stallone fan until I started watching it!
I’m sure I’ll get my reading groove back soon (I even bought two new books at a bookstore this past weekend), but until then, it’s kind of nice to sit on the couch at night and just veg out with Chris.
What are you watching these days, imaginary friends? What else should I be watching?????
(Also, y’all say hello to Chris’s new satsuma tree. He’s very proud.)
Only Murders in the Building was amazing and I have a very hard time finding shows I like. It’s about a murder but not scary and super funny (Martin Short and Steve Martin!).
Have you seen The Good Place? Perhaps my favorite TV series ever. For current network TV, I really enjoy Ghosts. Finally, there’s a reason everyone loves The Great British Baking Show. As I mentioned above, I also highly recommend Only Murders in the Building.
