My Favorite Things During Spring Break
Taking time away to do a whole lot of piddling brings me such joy in small ways...
I think I’m lucky enough to be able to say that I have a lot of favorite things in my world. Too many to count. So this list is a little smaller. Here are some of my favorite things this week while I’m on spring break with my kids:
Driving around doing my silly little errands with my sunroof open while I listen to Tom Hanks read Ann Patchett’s The Dutch House.
Sleeping in without setting an alarm since I’m on spring break with the kids.
Sitting in my favorite chair under my favorite blanket reading while Bean recovers from his wisdom teeth removal on the couch next to me.
Getting dressed at a leisurely pace midmorning.
Gas station snack stops on family road trips.
Weather that’s cool enough to leave the windows open during the day.
Laying in bed next to Gracie at night, reading our books.
Drinking a Zero Sugar A&W Root Beer in a can. (Thank you to my sister for introducing me)
Watching Bean experience “Ted Lasso” for the first time.
