Last weekend, Chris and I got into a... heated discussion, let's say. It was over a parenting issue. We didn't disagree, but we had different ideas for how to accomplish the same goal. The conversation was tense, but necessary and when it ended, we weren't mad at each other, but we didn't necessarily want to hang out, either.

I took a nap, which is my default reaction to hard conversations and when I woke up, I had this great idea for a date night. Chris and I hadn't really hung out just the two of us since the Keys a few weeks ago, so I suggested that we go eat a Olive Garden where I could stuff my face in breadsticks and chicken alfredo and then we could go see the new Formula One movie with Brad Pitt.

That's all I wanted.

Olive Garden.

Breadsticks.

Brad Pitt.

Sounds like a fantastic date night to me.
