On Friday, I was so excited to go to work. My entire team took the day off so that they could extend their three-day weekend to a four-day weekend, which meant I had hardly anything on my calendar. And since I’d been sick most of the week, I had a lot of tasks that had piled up. I was ready to put my headphones on, blare tunes from my new Spotify playlist called Rose All Day, and get some stuff D.O.N.E.

Unfortunately, halfway to work, my gas tank hit empty. A quick Google search told me that my car can actually go 30-60 miles more after it’s on E, so I figured I would make it to work on a wing and a prayer and then go get gas on my lunch break.

That only added to my happiness because I love gas stations. This is a new love for me. Are you a gas station person? I have never been before, but there is a Wawa up the street from my office and nothing brings me more joy in the middle of a workday than popping up to the Wawa to get myself a giant fountain drink and treat.

It’s all the fun of a road trip but on a lunch break.
